Easter Liturgies

During Holy Week, Years 3&4 help us to remember and reflect by reenacting the events leading up to Jesus’ death and resurrection.

These liturgies are one of the highlights of the year at St Walburga’s, with two morning performances and an evening performance. The children thrive in their acting and singing roles, and also gain a deeper understanding of the events of Holy Week; how Jesus was treated, the regret the disciples felt and the amazement and joy experienced by all after Jesus’ resurrection.

These liturgies remind us of the true meaning behind Easter and help us grow closer to God at this time.

We are very pleased to present our 2021 Year 3 and 4 Easter Liturgies.

Whilst we could not share these in person this year due to Covid-19 restrictions, both classes worked incredibly hard to produce fantastic performances in the short time since we all returned to school. As always, it is a huge privilege to tell this most important story.

A huge thank you to Mrs Mowlam for the loan of some additional lighting and for her editing expertise, which has really added an extra element.
We hope you enjoy!
We begin the story with Year 4 as Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday.
