At St Walburga’s, we love celebrating World Book Day each year. Children and staff enjoy dressing up and engaging in a variety of book-themed activities. Each year, we base our day on a different theme. This can be influenced by the World Book Day suggestions, such as ‘share a story’ or ‘how to choose a great book’. Alternatively, we sometimes base our day on a book, and every class engages in age appropriate activities based on our chosen book. For example, we have previously dressed as crayons and based our day on the book by Drew Daywalt: The Day The Crayons Quit. It is always a fantastic day, filled with excitement and enthusiasm; one we look forward to every year!
